Horn Antenna Applications

  Tue, 29/03/2022

Precision Horn Antenna Technology High Gain & Wide Bandwidth Solutions from 200 MHz to 40 GHz Horn antennas are the preferred choice for high-frequency applications. Featuring a distinctive flared design, they offer a directional radiation pattern with high antenna gain typically ranging from 10-20 dBi, with standard models reaching up to 25 dBi. Their design ensures a low VSWR and exceptional impedance bandwidth. Efficiency Through Aperture The gain of a horn antenna increases alongside the frequency of operation. Since the horn aperture is measured in wavelengths, the antenna becomes "electrically larger" at higher frequencies, enabling superior performance in smaller physical dimensions. FT-RF Advantages Superior Performance: Moderate directivity, low SWR, and broad bandwidth. Versatile Interface: Easy waveguide integration or custom coaxial feeder transitions. Simplified Maintenance: Straightforward construction and adjustment processes. Custom Services: Professional ODM, OEM, OBM, and R&D support. EMC Antenna - Horn Antenna Calibration Methods

  Tue, 14/12/2021

How to test EMC Antenna - Dual Polarized Horn Antennas ( Quad ridged horn antenna & Open boundary quad ridged horn antenna? The Dual Polarized Horn Antenna includes HQ model - Quad-ridged Horn Antenna, Open Boundary Quad-Ridged Horn Antenna -HR Model. These Horn antennas have an electronic switch that may simultaneously test horizontal and vertical or +-45deg polarization, as well as a couple that can test circular polarization. The dual-polarized antennas are mounted on a special table or wall. FT-RF also supply the calibration service for these antennas in case the customer wants to use them for a certain purpose. How to test EMC Antenna - Single-polarized Horn Antennas (Double ridged horn antenna & Open boundary double ridged horn antenna)? HA Model - Double-Ridged Horn Antenna & HB model - Open Boundary Double-Ridged Horn Antenna are commonly used to replace the antenna method's calibration antenna. When HA calibration is utilized, the calibration site is lost (patch loss uses a network analyzer) Enter the antenna's gain (minus the gain of the antenna, equal to the address of the object under test, return to zero) There is only one technique to compute antenna gain. The path loss patch loss subtracts the antenna's gain and substitutes the antenna under test to obtain the antenna's gain. Rotate the object under test...
