The Vivaldi antenna is a co-planar broadband antenna capable of operating over a wide frequency range. It can be constructed from a solid piece of sheet metal, a printed circuit board (PCB), or a dielectric plate metalized on one or both sides. Due to their scalability, Vivaldi antennas are versatile and cost-effective, particularly at microwave frequencies exceeding 1 GHz.
